Lucy and Lachlan tied the knot in front of friends and family on a picturesque farm lawn in Taupo. Photos of the day show the couple full of love and smiles as they celebrated their day with their loved ones.
Lucy looked amazing in Tina by Rebecca Ingram, a chic sheath gown with all over floral inspired boho lace. This gown also features a jersey lining, a detail that makes this gown comfortable to wear all day long. She paired her gown with our 80 inch veil and our Jenna 4178 shoes, simple touches that complete her look.

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
My
mum was the one who spotted it on the rack -she knows me too well. Being a
shepherd, I am not big on wearing dresses, so something
simple, elegant and comfortable was the goal. The moment my mum pulled it
out, my stylist said it should be perfect. She calls it the yoga dress because it is
so comfortable. She wasn't wrong. It was so comfortable and beautiful. I was
sold instantly.
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
Astra Bridal was such an easy option for choosing a gown. My stylist was so helpful! I really couldn't recommend them any more highly.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
Lachy and I met in our local Young Farmers Club. During our time spent stacking hay, racing rafts, and attending meetings, along with other events, he managed to woo me. I think wearing a prawn suit to the prawn park on our first date was what really sealed the deal.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Dancing
the night away with our closest friends and family. Although the vows hold a
very special place in my heart too.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
Overall, the day couldn't have gone any better. We started at a cute little Airbnb on the lake front the night before the wedding. We all got ready there in the morning, taking in the beautiful views and enjoying some banter with a couple of stag parties heading past on their way into town. A friend drove us to the wedding in his lovely 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible. After a little hair and makeup tidy up following the convertible ride, the ceremony music started. My lovely brother walked me down the aisle. It was such an amazing feeling seeing my husband's happy, if slightly nervous face, along with the teary and happy faces of our family and friends. The ceremony was short and sweet, and before we knew it, we were Mr and Mrs.
Fortunately, the day was warm and a tad overcast. Perfect for photos! We had some lovely family and group photos around the house, then set off with the bridal party for photos on the lifestyle block. I am terrible with photos, but I would highly recommend Jessica Lee. She made us all feel so relaxed and actually made the photo process fun. The final photos are beautiful too.
Finally, the reception was full of heartfelt and hilarious speeches, great food, and great wine. We all had a lovely time celebrating and danced until the early hours of the morning.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Don't
stress the small stuff! The wedding is about the two of you making a
commitment to each other and embarking on the next chapter of your lives
together. Nothing should distract you from that.
