Iutita and Pati promised to spend the rest of their lives together at the joyful Holy Cross Catholic Church in Papatoetoe. Their day was filled with happiness and love, captured beautifully in photos that showcase the joyous couple celebrating their special day with their loved ones.
Iutita wowed in Ainsleigh by Rebecca Ingram, a fairytale A-line dress adorned with beaded floral lace that gracefully flows into a dreamy tulle skirt. She complemented her gown with our cathedral length, two-tier, crochet-edged veil—an accessory that perfectly complements her wedding look.
We hope you enjoy scrolling through their beautiful day as much as we do!
What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
I was looking for a dress that made me look beautiful and feel like a princess.
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
The search for my dress wasn’t hard, to be honest. My best friend’s sister-in-law got her dress from Astra Bridal, so she recommended it to me, and that was the first and only place we went.
On the first day we went to look for my dress, after trying on so many beautiful gowns, I finally found it. I was crying when I saw the dress on me. With the veil and everything, it was amazing. I knew I had found my dream dress.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
We met in 2016 around December at one of my good friends' wedding up in Auckland. I was the Maid of Honour, and he was one of the groomsmen. I was the one who texted him first through Messenger the day after the wedding, and just said that it was nice meeting him. We kept texting each other and started to develop feelings for each other. We made it official on the 9th of January 2017.
Almost five years into dating, he asked the question on Christmas Day 2021 in front of my family in Auckland.
What was your favourite part of the day?
I think it was exchanging vows and having both families there to witness our special day.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
My wedding day was everything we ever dreamed of. Everything went according to plan, and everyone looked so beautiful and perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
My advice to all the brides-to-be is to make sure it’s everything you’ve ever wished for. The most important people are you and your partner. Plan your special day around how you want to remember it. Always remember that it’s you and your partner against the world, not you against each other. Happy planning!!
