Caley and Joseph tied the knot at the beautiful Jantra Residence in Phuket, Thailand, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their day was filled with so much love, laughter, and joy.
Caley shined in Amsterdam by Forget Me Knot—a stunning beaded and sequinned fit and flare gown with a low neckline, low V-back, and a dramatic train. She finished off her look with our two-tier cut edge veil, a simple yet elegant touch that brought everything together perfectly.

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
I fell in love with the beading. The way the beads wrapped around the dress to show off my figure was not only flattering, but it was also a work of art. I got so many compliments on my dress. Although it wasn’t what I had originally intended to get when I walked into the store, it took my breath away, and I couldn’t imagine wearing any other dress.

My search started and ended with Astra Bridal. I came into the store with a more Greek Goddess/ethereal look in mind. My stylist helped me pick out four dresses and added a slightly different one into the mix – a dress I wouldn't usually go for. As soon as I tried it on, I was in love. It fit me like a glove and was almost perfect. I wanted to change the neckline, which my stylist said was absolutely possible, but I went home to think about it.
I came in a week or so later and bought the dress straight off the rack. There were a few missing beads, but my stylist fixed them for me and sent me home with some extra beads for good measure.
The whole Astra Bridal team was great. Every email, phone call, and store visit was met with wonderful warmth and enthusiasm, showing they really love what they do.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
We met on Tinder in 2016. He was an hour late for our first date, and I thought I had been stood up. When he finally arrived, he said that his GPS had taken him a long way. But in reality, he was so nervous that he had parked a road over, working up the courage to pick me up. I was his first and only Tinder date. Joseph wasn’t ready for a relationship, so we just casually hung out for about a year and a half. During that time, I decided to end things, and we didn’t speak for three months. Then, in January 2017, he messaged me out of the blue and asked me to come scuba diving with him up north at The Poor Knights Islands. Without hesitation, I took unpaid leave and met him up there. On the boat ride back to shore, he told me how he was meant to go to Egypt with his family, but just before they left, 9/11 happened, and they canceled the trip. I told him that I’d always wanted to go and suggested that maybe we should go together. We started planning our trip, and in turn, started dating.
Fast forward to 2022: I was pregnant with our second child. He took me to a fine dining restaurant, and we had a lovely dinner. I honestly just thought it was a typical Tuesday evening and date night. When we got home, he got down on one knee in our living room and popped the question. It was exactly what I wanted for a proposal.
What was your favourite part of the day?
I loved everything, but the ceremony holds a special place in my heart. I felt like it was just the two of us there, and I didn't notice anyone else.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
Our first Christmas together was spent in Phuket, Thailand, so it only felt right to have our wedding there too. I went over a few weeks early with our kids, my parents, and my two sisters to get everything finalised. Joseph met us in Krabi for Christmas, and then we traveled back to Phuket for the wedding. We rented out Jantra Residence, a 5-star resort nestled in the Phuket Country Club, for 4 nights, where all of our guests stayed with us. Our wedding was held at the resort on New Year's Eve. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and intimate. It was a sweltering 32 degrees at the time of our ceremony, but it was a beautiful day for a wedding nonetheless.
Jantra Residence had an in-house wedding coordinator who did everything for me. I had sent her a mood board 6 months before the wedding, and she took care of the rest. All I had to do was be there. Our daughter, Leila, was our flower girl, and our son, Banksy, was the ring bearer. Joseph had his white linen suit custom made in Krabi, and Banksy had a matching suit made too. My reception dress was custom made in Phuket. I chose red, as it's a colour of good luck in many cultures.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Get a good wedding coordinator and try to be as present as possible, as the day goes by so quickly. Take some time for the two of you to really soak everything in.
