What to bring to your appointment

Wear some nuetral coloured underwear that your are comfortable in. Strapless bras are great but not a must. If you love shapewear then wear that too. Your stylist will be in the fitting room with you - helping you in and out of the dresses.

Wearing a shoe of the same height you plan on wearing on the day, will not only help you get the full picture, but also allow us to determine if you need any extra length added to the hem of your gown.

If you have an heirloom veil or necklace - or a specific piece of jewellery then bring that along too, again it will help with the full picture.

Bring all your ideas - you can share your pinterest page, your Astra Bridal wishlist, your phone screenshots. Anything that has been inspiring you. Show us the complete picture not just your gown. We woud love to hear about your location, partner, florals, anything!

If you have done a virtual style and design review before hand (we recommend it!) then we will already have an idea of your location and styling.

Get the perfect tribe together. People who want to help find you the perfect gown. Make sure you come to your appointment with people who are going to be honest, but also supportive! It's hard to have a great wedding dress shopping experience when you're being told a million different opinions at once, so we recommend you bring a smaller crew of your closest friends and family who have your best interest at heart.

Bring the people with you who you want to get their sign off before you buy your dress. If someone essential is overseas we can do a zoom call or facetime from the salon to involve them.

Have an idea of how much you want to spend. Most of our range is between $1795 to $5995. We have many in each of the price points in between. You can see our range by price. If you discuss it with your stylist then it means we can show you all the options in your range. It also means you don't fall in love with a gown that can't be the one.

Our appointments run back to back on a Saturday so please be on time - but forgive us if we are overrunning slightly! If you are unable to make your appointment please let us know as soon as you know - we do run a wait list. Time allocated for each bride is 1 1/2 hours which allows for some chat time at either end of the period that you will try gowns on (approximately 1 hour). If you want more time to try on then a style and design review virtual appointment is essential to reduce the chat time.

Don't be surprised if you find your dress on your first appointment with us. 80% of our brides do! Just wanted to give you a heads up as it can be a bit of a shock to some brides.
