Tash and Jarrod vowed to spend the rest of our lives together in front of their loved ones at the charming Jakama Lodge. Photos of the day show the couple full of joy and smiles as they celebrated their special day.
Tash looked gorgeous in Marrakesh by Forget Me Knot, a stylish crepe fit and flare with a dreamily draped bodice and buttons decorating the back of the gown, which finish at the end of the train. She completed her gown with our Harriet veil, a match made in heaven with her simplistically stunning gown.

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
The simpleness of it. The shape fit my body just
right. Not going to lie, when my stylist first showed it to me, I thought "Nah I don’t
like it but I’ll try it on" and as soon as I got it on, I just knew it was the
one.
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
We had booked a few different shops to go to with Astra Bridal being our first stop as I gathered from their website that they had the biggest
range of different styles, and I didn’t really know what I wanted. I thought
maybe a heavy textured lace. My stylist looked after me and ended up pulling out a
dress I would definitely not have picked for myself and it ended up being the one.
Completely different to what I had in my head and I loved it! I had only just
had my son 3 months prior, but my stylist assured me we would find something, and we
did. She made me feel very comfortable and very welcomed!
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
We met at our local rugby club, playing mixed social netball. He played in my brother's rugby team and they needed more girls one night, so my brother asked me to come along and much to his disgust the captain of his rugby team ended up with his little sister.
At the time of the proposal, we had been together 7 years and had a 1 year old daughter together. We were on holiday in Christchurch, biking around, and we stopped at a park. He got down on one knee, while our daughter was on my knee, and popped the question.
What was your favourite part of the day?
The whole day was amazing and I’d do it all again without changing a thing. I loved getting ready with my bridesmaids in the morning and then
once the formalities were over, the partying began!
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
There was a cyclone the week leading up to the wedding. The weather was horrible all week and the day before for the rehearsal. Saturday turned out to be fine though. My 3 bridesmaids and I got ready on site with my 2 kids, my mum and a few special others.
We had 7 flower girls and page boys, all under the
age of 4. It was hectic, but so funny and everyone loved it. The whole day went
really smoothly and we all loved the whole thing!
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Delegate to everyone around you. They usually all
ask what they can do to help, so give them all something to do to help.
