On a beautiful spring day, Jasmine and Cooper celebrated their love surrounded by their closest friends and family at the charming Dellrian Gardens. Their day was filled with so much joy and love, and the venue's cozy vibe was the perfect match for Jasmine's stunning gown.
Jasmine enchanted in Coventry June by Forget Me Knot, a gorgeous organza A-line dress with a ruched sweetheart bodice and a sultry side split. The off-the-shoulder puff sleeves added a playful, whimsical touch, and the soft blush color made the dress feel uniquely uniquely stylish and on trend.
We hope you enjoy taking a peek at their beautiful day and hearing from Jasmine about her experience with Astra Bridal and the journey to finding her perfect wedding dress!
What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
I mainly chose the gown because of the colour and shape. I really liked the princess vibe it gives, especially with the puffy sleeves. I love the split down one leg and how big the train is. I just love everything about it.
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
I searched online, and since my friend had bought a dress from Astra Bridal, I looked there first. I instantly saw this dress and knew it was the one. I went to Astra Bridal on the North Shore and tried on a few dresses, and although they were all beautiful, I knew that pink dress was the one. They didn’t have the dress at the first try on as it was at another store, but when it arrived, it was even better than the photos. I tried it on and had the biggest smile on my face. It was the last one in stock and the perfect size, so I knew it was meant to be.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
Cooper and I met in 2019 through a dating app. We bonded instantly, as we had common interests and a similar upbringing. We moved in together five months into dating, got two dogs, and went on heaps of adventures in our spare time. We started doing lots of hikes together, and when we went on a trip to the South Island, we hiked the Bill Hill trail in Arrowtown, where Cooper proposed at the end of our hike
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing Cooper and our son standing at the altar.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
Our wedding day was like a fairytale. We got ready at Castaways Resort, which had a beautiful view and was super accommodating to our bridal party and team. It was a chill morning, and it was lovely spending time with my bridesmaids. Once at Delliran Gardens, I was in awe of our bouquets and prepped myself to walk down the aisle. I was surprisingly nervous, but once I saw all my family and friends, and my now husband, it was such a happy moment. The ceremony went well—our celebrant, Abbey, was amazing and made the process so easy and relaxed. Nothing really went wrong, apart from a small bit of rain after the ceremony. Everyone had some canapés while it rained, then we had our photos around the gardens. After our photos, we made our big entrance back into the barn, where we played games, had speeches, and ate some delicious food from Vege bang bang. The day was beautiful, the venue was stunning, and it was such a perfect day.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Enjoy the process, as it’s all over so quickly. Be creative and make the wedding the way you want it to be.
