On a gorgeous summer day, Bronie and Cameron said "I Do" surrounded by loved ones and the stunning scenery at Appleby House. Their day was filled with lots of memorable moments and the happy couple couldn't look any more in love.
Bronie awed in Marley by Jenny Yoo, a modern fit and flare crepe gown with a stunning back detail. The soft chiffon knot detail flows beautifully down, a unique aspect to a timeless and romantic gown. She completed her look with our pearl veil, a lovely addition that adds the perfect amount of shimmer.

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
I loved the slim simple look with the pearl veil. I think it is a timeless look and suited me. I love the back detail of the dress. I am obsessed with the pearl veil and only took it off near the end of the night!
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
A friend recommended Astra Bridal from her prior wedding dress shopping experience. I flew to Wellington with my bride squad and mum. Our first appointment was with Astra and I didn't really know what to expect! I had a few ideas of what I wanted, but wasn't too sure about which dress style would suit me. Kryslin was amazing from the start. She was very welcoming and let us browse the dresses first. She also selected some that she thought would look nice on me. The first dress I tried on was actually the dress I ended up getting and it was a dress Kryslin had picked for me. I had some other appointments at different places, but Kryslin knew I was keen on a couple of dresses, so made time for me to come back later. I came back later that afternoon and put the dresses back on. As soon as I had the original dress back on, I knew it was the one. I also selected a veil that Kryslin had paired with the dress earlier. I was completely in love with the combination. After ordering the dress and veil, I was well updated on the tracking of my dress, which made the process stress free!
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
Cam and I met at high school and were best friends for many years. We stayed close after finishing school and had many adventures together. One summer we became extremely close and then took the next step. From there our bond grew more and we fell in love and couldn't be happier. Cam proposed to me on one of our Sunday adventures. It was the start of winter and we walked up to Parachute rock found in Nelson Lakes National Park. It was deep snow and a bluebird day. We had the most amazing view out over the lake and the surrounding mountain ranges.
What was your favourite part of the day?
I don't think I can just say one part. I loved every minute of the entire day. It was just amazing, everything I wanted and more.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
My wedding day was amazing. I feel very grateful that everything went to plan. The morning was filled with makeup and hair along with laughs and stories over a glass of bubbles. The weather was beautiful and the tide was coming in as we drove to Appleby. The ceremony was beautiful and filled with many tears of joy. Our photos were taken on a cliff later in the afternoon overlooking the ocean. We were treated to a stunner of a sunset and delicious food. The speeches were filled with laughs and special memories, and our first dance couldn't have been more amazing. Everyone had a great time dancing the night away.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
Try not to get overwhelmed by other people's opinions. It is your big day, do what makes you happy!
