On a lovely summer day, Alitheia and Galen tied the knot in front of friends and family at the beautiful Schlaepfer Park Scout Camp. Photos of the day show the couple full of love and smiles as they celebrated their big day together.
Alitheia stunned in Bevan by Maggie Sottero, a sophisticated crepe fit and flare with a straight neckline and soft scoop back. The off the shoulder straps and covered buttons over the zip are a classic touch to this minimalistic gown.

What was it that made this particular wedding dress catch your eye and fall in love?
I chose the Bevan dress because it was elegant and I loved the off the shoulder detail. I also loved the crepe material. It was a heavier fabric, which made the dress feel more luxurious and made the dress drape beautifully.
Tell us about your search for the dress and the experience at Astra Bridal.
Originally, my mum and I were going to make my wedding dress and we were just going into stores to see what I liked. Astra bridal was the second store I walked into and the service was amazing. We narrowed down what kind of dress I was looking for in one session, and I was sold. We bought the dress because when you find the one that's that.
Tell us your story, how you both met, and the proposal.
Galen walked into
my church one day dropping off his brother who was interested in Christianity. Galen was an extreme atheist and didn't want to know anything
about Christianity, but when dropping his brother off to our church, Galen
couldn't help himself - he was curious, so he decided to poke his head in and see
what it was all about. The next part of the story is still being debated on to
this day... whether he stayed for the interesting sermon or for one of the
pretty faces. Galen and his brother just so happened to love chatting with my
dad, talking about the Bible, music, and well anything really. From there,
the two boys were over at our house almost every day and well the inevitable
happened- Galen and I started dating. Fast track a year and we were engaged. Me being 19 and Galen being 20, not knowing what we were getting ourselves into
with the big avalanche coming our way, otherwise known as a WEDDING.
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favorite part of the day was hearing Galen's vows.
Tell us about your wedding day as a whole.
The weather was sunny with a bit of cloud cover which was perfect for photos, but during the ceremony the clouds drew back a bit, so we had full sun filtered through the tree canopy, which was so magical! Getting ready was a bit stressful and was probably the most stressful part of the day because the steamer for the dress wasn't working and there were 15 minutes till the ceremony started. After that though, the rest of the day went smoothly. The whole day just felt so natural and filled with love from family and friends.
Finally, what is your biggest piece of advice for brides to be?
My biggest piece of advice for brides is to surround yourself with people who love you and support you, because it's so much easier and fun with people who know how to take the wheel when you're tired or tell you when to take a break and know how to love you when everything is feeling crazy. I know I couldn't have made it past even just one month of wedding planning without my mum.
